red, white, and sparkles

The Christmas holiday is just around the corner, and you know what that means?! Tons of parties which call for cocktail dresses and festive gifts! Three of the biggest trends right now are also some of my favorites. I absolutely love the color red. Not only does it compliment my skin tone, I think it looks great on everyone! And there are so many different ways to wear it. It can be something as subtle as red lipstick or lip stain, or something bold as a vibrant red blazer. Another one of my favorite colors is white. The old tale about not being able to wear white after labor day, to me, goes completely unnoticed when it comes to the holiday season, especially when you know how to wear it. And last, but definitely not least, are sequins. I love love love this trend right now! It gives any outfit that little extra something, and it can also be worn casual or dressed up. This holiday season be sure to keep in mind that it is okay to go all out and dress up and have fun! That's what I tell myself, ALWAYS have fun when it comes to putting together the perfect outfit for any occasion.

bohemian chic

Vanessa Hudgens style can be summed up into two words: Bohemian Chic. Her outfits usually consist of distressed jeans, flowy tops, gladiator sandals, and slouchy boots. Even though this look can go bad, real quick, she always seems to look so kept together which makes her look effortlessly chic.

gameday fashion

One of my favorite things in life is College football. Unfortunately my school doesn't have a football team, but what can you expect from an art school? haha! I am lucky enough to have friends that go to large schools with football teams. One of the best things about gameday is getting ready for it. Sometimes I feel like what people are wearing is almost as important as the actual football game. With tailgating and standing in the stands, it's important to look good, but also feel comfortable because a lot of walking and standing is involved during gameday.

My inspiration for gameday fashion comes from attending numerous games with my best friend at Clemson University. Since the school is located in the south a lot of the styles seen are very southern based such as the cowboy boots. But there is also this classiness seen in many outfits such as the pretty dresses and sleek watches. I chose to show two weather conditions for examples. The dress and boots are perfect for the warmer weather, and the skinny jeans, sweater, and scarf are great for when the temperature starts to drop during the fall.

No matter what school you attend or what team you pull for, style is always important. Incorporate your teams colors with every piece of clothing you try to pull together. Also, always consider weather conditions and the activities you are going to be taking part in during the day. And the most important thing of all, try to make sure your outfit has spirit and portrays what your school stands for!

fierce for fall...

Who doesn't love leopard print? I think this trend should become a staple item in everyone's closet. It's made it through years of countless changes in fashion and is now back in full force for Fall and Winter seasons. You can do a subtle take on it and wear it as a scarf or be a risk taker and where it as pants. Either way you're going to look good.
