gameday fashion

One of my favorite things in life is College football. Unfortunately my school doesn't have a football team, but what can you expect from an art school? haha! I am lucky enough to have friends that go to large schools with football teams. One of the best things about gameday is getting ready for it. Sometimes I feel like what people are wearing is almost as important as the actual football game. With tailgating and standing in the stands, it's important to look good, but also feel comfortable because a lot of walking and standing is involved during gameday.

My inspiration for gameday fashion comes from attending numerous games with my best friend at Clemson University. Since the school is located in the south a lot of the styles seen are very southern based such as the cowboy boots. But there is also this classiness seen in many outfits such as the pretty dresses and sleek watches. I chose to show two weather conditions for examples. The dress and boots are perfect for the warmer weather, and the skinny jeans, sweater, and scarf are great for when the temperature starts to drop during the fall.

No matter what school you attend or what team you pull for, style is always important. Incorporate your teams colors with every piece of clothing you try to pull together. Also, always consider weather conditions and the activities you are going to be taking part in during the day. And the most important thing of all, try to make sure your outfit has spirit and portrays what your school stands for!

fierce for fall...

Who doesn't love leopard print? I think this trend should become a staple item in everyone's closet. It's made it through years of countless changes in fashion and is now back in full force for Fall and Winter seasons. You can do a subtle take on it and wear it as a scarf or be a risk taker and where it as pants. Either way you're going to look good.

from laguna to fashion icon...

This past weekend I had the opportunity to meet Lauren Conrad at a book signing in Raleigh, NC. I purchased her Style book, which if you don't own this book and are wanting to figure out your own personal style it is a great read. She gives tons of helpful tips and tricks to creating looks and putting together different styles, but still allowing you to stay true to your personality. At first I was not nervous at all, until it was my turn to go up to her and get my book signed. She is truly the most flawless person I have ever seen and genuinely down to earth. My legs literally felt like jello as she was speaking to me. Not only was it great to meet such a prominent person in fashion these days, but it also gave me some inspiration of what I want to achieve in my lifetime. To see the way people reacted to her when she walked into the room made me want to have people have that same reaction about me.

You can purchase the Style book at amazon.com just by clicking on the link.

bell bottoms...

I am completely in LOVE with these jeans! The bell bottom jeans are back and are better than ever. They make any outfit look chic and also add a vintage flare. Pair these with a flowy blouse or button up top and you are set. These jeans also look great with a tall platform heel or wedge.

my happy place

My room needs a little revamping.. Right now it's furnished with all white furniture.. I have bright yellow bedding.. None of my picture frames are hung on my wall.. And there are absolutely no decorations.. But tons of clutter.. So I'm on a mission for interior inspiration!

Of course, I chose to go straight to urbanoutfitters.com because they always have the cutest decorating ideas, and the main picture was this. I absolutely LOVE everything about this room. All of the different prints and especially the headboard.

These flowers are usually used in weddings as center pieces on tables, but I think they are absolutely adorable! I researched them on google and found these to be adorable. I would love to have a table with a mason jar full of colorful flowers. I believe I will try fake ones because I would never find the time to keep up with real ones and there is no way I would have dead flowers in my room. The would defeat the purpose of cute flowers ya know!

I've been wanting a dress form in my room as a decoration for the LONGEST time! Obviously I don't have the biggest room in the world so I can't decide if I want a large size one or a smaller one. I found these cute one that go on a night stand that hold all kinds of goodies!

I must admit, I can never throw anything away, especially cards and letters. Right now I have a stack just sitting on my dresser. How adorable is this hanging owl letter holder? I am OBSESSED! I need this!

These are all just a few ideas I have in mind right now. I will post pictures if I finally get the time to actually re-do my room. Let's hope it's soon!
